Unknown Soldier Ceremony At Arlington

The wreath lying at the "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" was well attended.                         There were approximately 35 Troopers and about 75 to 100 young children and                     chaperones present. We had the pleasure of sharing the event with members from                      The Greater North Carolina and Baltimore Chapters!  Trooper Davis (National President) and Troopers Edley (National 1st Vice-President), Trooper Godwin (Greater Washington DC Chapter President), & Trooper Lindsay (Greater North Carolina Chapter) formed the dignitary party. Trooper Davis was the dignitary that laid the wreath, assisted by the 3rd Regiment Infantry (Old Guard).

Following the wreath lying we went to Phillip's Restaurant, a local seafood
dive, and dined well. Later that evening, we met at a local Fraternity
dwelling and shared in treats and libations.

On Sunday those that traveled to be here, returned safely to their home
stations. The Greater Washington DC Chapter takes this opportunity to                                   thank the Arlington National Cemetery Staff, the Old Guard, Buckingham Florist,                        our National Association Members, and the local Chapter membership for
participating and contributing to the success of this event.
